વરસાદ પછી -લાભશંકર ઠાકર
જ લ ભીં જે લી
જો બ ન વં તી
લથબથ ધરતી
અં ગ અં ગ થી
ટપકે છે કૈં
રૂપ મનોહર !
ને તડકાનો
ટુવાલ ધોળો
ફરી રહ્યો છે
ધીમે ધીમે;
યથા રાધિકા
જમુનાજલ માં
સ્નાન કરીને
પ્ર સ ન્ન તા થી
રૂપ ટપકતા
પારસ - દેહે
વસન ફેરવે
ધીરે ધીરે !
જોઈ રહ્યો છે
પરમ રૂપના
ઘૂંટ ભરંતો
શું મુજ શ્યામલ
નેનન માંહે
છુપાઈને એ
કૃષ્ણકનૈયો ?

Nice poem of La. Tha. Repetition of ‘Ga-Ga’….Very poetic.
In literature, critics evaluate this sort of poems as highly cretive.
The only thing what I don’t understand is the relation of Krisha-Radha. It was more like a ‘sakha-sakhi’ love without gender and its natural attractions.
The Vallabh Sampryaday and its 'Shrungar' based sogns have distorted this relation a lot !

This kind of poems you just sit back and enjoy. I just read it to myself few times and let the meaning dawn on its own !
It is, in Niranjan Bhagat's words, "kaan thi vanchvaani kavitaa".
